Our Annual August Challenge has begun! We're collecting items that cannot be purchased through S.N.A.P. Through the generosity of our members and friends, we're looking to be a bridge for Bridge Cards!
For our final week, we’re accepting donations of any items from prior weeks of the challenge:
Week 1: Paper Products (paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, and kleenex)
Week 2: Cleaning Products (laundry detergent and fabric softener sheets, dishwashing liquid, toilet bowl cleaner, glass cleaner, sponges, all-purpose cleaners, disinfecting wipes)
Week 3: Personal Hygiene Products (shampoo and conditioner, toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant, razors, bath soap, dental floss, body lotion, feminine hygiene products)
Week 4: Baby Products (diapers, baby wipes, Pull-Ups, baby shampoo, baby lotion)
S.N.A.P is an acronym for a federal government program administered on a state level: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Eligible persons use a Michigan Bridge card for certain food items that can be purchased at retailers and farmer’s markets (similar to the old food stamps program). The items we are collecting will be used for low-income households. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
