Bethany will be offering a time of Sanctuary Prayer between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. as well as 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Please sign up for a time that works well with your schedule. With the help of the Social Ministry Committee, we will be providing a safe environment for all who enter. This will be an opportunity to join with others in the sanctuary, sitting in silence, contemplating the suffering of Jesus and all others who suffer. You are invited to consider your own grief and sorrows and the sorrows of the world on this holy day.
Additionally, the Chapel/Choir Room will be available to get a close-up look at Steve Lindahl’s hand-carved Stations of the Cross. Slowly walk the series of scenes that depict the passion of Christ, and at each scene, pause for quiet meditation and prayer. In this contemplative process, we are given an opportunity to reflect on the events of Jesus’ death with a greater sense of intensity.
